Setting Up a Custom Domain with Namecheap

This section provides step-by-step instructions to configure a custom domain using Namecheap. Learn how to connect your domain and align it with your platform effortlessly.

Prerequisites

• A Namecheap account.

• A purchased domain from Namecheap or another domain registrar.

Step 1: Log in to Namecheap

• Navigate to Namecheap and sign in to your account.

Step 2: Access DNS Settings

• Click the DNS button at the top of the Cloudflare dashboard.

Step 3: Add a Record

• Navigate to Host Records Section

• Click the drop-down menu under the "Type" field in the DNS Records section.

• Enter the following details:

  • Record Type: CName

  • Name or Host: Your prefix of domain name (or) sub domain name, (eg, "app".mydomain.com)

  • Value or Target: cname.voicemetrics.ai

  • Click Save to add your DNS.

Notes:

• SSL Configuration: It automatically generates an SSL certificate for your custom domain. If not, you may need to install one manually.

• DNS Propagation Time: DNS updates can take up to 24 hours to reflect globally.

By following these steps, your custom domain should be successfully configured using Namecheap.
