Setting Up a Custom Domain with Cloudflare

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to configure a custom domain using Cloudflare. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth setup process.

Prerequisites

  • A Cloudflare account.

  • Access to the domain you want to configure.

Step 1: Log in to Cloudflare

Step 2: Access DNS Settings

  • Click the DNS button at the top of the Cloudflare dashboard.

Step 3: Add a Record

  • Click the drop-down menu under the "Type" field in the DNS Records section.

  • Enter the following details:

    • Record Type: CName

    • Name or Host: Your prefix of domain name (or) sub domain name eg, "app".mydomain.com

    • Value or Target: cname.voicemetrics.ai

    • Click Save to add your DNS.

Notes:

  • SSL Configuration: It automatically generates an SSL certificate for your custom domain. If not, you may need to install one manually.

  • DNS Propagation Time: DNS updates can take up to 24 hours to reflect globally.

By following these steps, your custom domain should be successfully configured using Cloudflare.
