Setting Up a Custom Domain Using Amazon Web Services (AWS)

This section provides a detailed guide to configure a custom domain using AWS. Follow the steps to integrate your domain with your platform and enhance scalability and reliability.

Prerequisites

  • An AWS account.

  • A purchased domain through AWS or another domain registrar.

Step 1: Log in to AWS

  • Visit AWS and sign in to your account.

Step 2: Access Route 53

  • Click on the Services tab.

  • Navigate to the Networking & Content Delivery section and select Route 53 (or search for "Route 53" in the search bar).

Step 3: Select Hosted Zones

  • In the Route 53 dashboard, go to the Hosted Zones section.

  • Select your custom domain from the list.

  • Click the drop-down menu under the "Type" field in the DNS Records section.

  • Enter the following details:

    • Record Type: CName

    • Name or Host: Your prefix of domain name (or) sub domain name eg, "app".mydomain.com

    • Value or Target: cname.voicemetrics.ai

    • Click Save to add your DNS.

Notes:

  • SSL Configuration: It automatically generates an SSL certificate for your custom domain. If not, you may need to install one manually.

  • DNS Propagation Time: DNS updates can take up to 24 hours to reflect globally.

Following these steps, your custom domain should be successfully configured using AWS.
