Setting Up a Custom Domain with GreenGeeks

This section guides you through configuring a custom domain using GreenGeeks. Follow the steps to connect your domain and establish a professional online presence.

Prerequisites

  • A Green Geeks account.

  • Access to the domain you want to configure.

Step 1: Log in to GreenGeeks

Step 2: Access the Zone Editor

  • Scroll down to the Domains section.

  • Click on Zone Editor.

Step 3: Manage Your Domain

  • Locate your domain in the list.

  • Click on Manage.

Step 4: Add a CNAME Record

  • Add the DNS record details provided by GreenGeeks to your domain manager.

  • Click the Add Record button.

  • Enter the following details:

    • Record Type: CName

    • Name or Host: Your prefix of domain name (or) sub domain name eg, "app".mydomain.com

    • Value or Target: cname.voicemetrics.ai

    • Click Save to add your DNS.

Notes:

  • SSL Configuration: It automatically generates an SSL certificate for your custom domain. If not, you may need to install one manually.

  • DNS Propagation Time: DNS updates can take up to 24 hours to reflect globally.

By following these steps, your custom domain will be successfully configured using GreenGeeks.
